Oh Fringe
While I was in New York, my best friend Kathy gave me the best birthday present ever--a haircut at Fringe Salon. Now, if you ever read Bust magazine, you'll recognize Fringe from their killer ads. I've wanted to get a Fringe cut since I was a wee teen, so the prospect of this cut was a dream come true. When I got there, I met the fabulous Amy Schiappa, owner of Fringe, and she and I chatted about the look I wanted. We were perfectly on the same page, which is such a wonderful feeling when you're talking to someone about to wack at your head with scissors. Normally I don't post photos of myself here, but this is by far my favorite haircut ever.

Funny enough, while we were at Renegade, I met an editor from Time Out New York who really liked the 'do. She and I chatted for a bit, and I ended up with this funny bit of press on their weekly Friday "Street Style" section. Icing on the cake to our Renegade weekend. Maybe I should get back to New York more often?

Back from LA
It has been simply crazy since coming back from LA last weekend. Felt Club was completely mind-blowing!! I had no idea it was going to be so huge, or that there would be folks lined up at the door at 9am when I was first getting there to set up! We got to meet old friends (thanks Paul for lunch), and also lots of new friends, some of whom I've only known in the blogosphere (thanks Megan for stopping by!). LA must really be a pirate town, because our pirate supply kits were flying. For those of you who couldn't make it, the LA Times did a great article on Felt Club that you can read here.

My highlights included getting to meet the whole family at Reform School and the talented Robert Mahar of Mahar Dry Goods, one of my favorite online shops. Lots more news and excitement to come, but first I have to catch up on some orders. Hope you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving holiday! We'll be soaking up some sun in Florida.

Forest Finds!
Ok, I've been sitting on this news long enough. I hate keeping secrets from you guys. Miss Natalie has been selected as one of the November Forest Finds on Fawn & Forest! Check out our post and designer bio.

I've been a huge fan of Fawn & Forest for a while, so I was doing cartwheels when they asked to feature us. Thanks to Summer and Chris for their help, and a big thank you to Ben who helped me write up the designer bio. Why is it so difficult to try and capture the spirit of what you do/who you are in 2-3 sentences? I have new respect for my marketing co-workers.

Design*Sponge love
Grace posted a lovely photo and mention of our wooden apple boxes on Design*Sponge on Thursday. If you know me well, you know that I've been reading her blog for several years and can be found browsing it throughout the day. Through her posts, interviews, and ladies business nights, I've learned so much about how to take my ideas and turn them into a real business. One of my goals when I started Miss Natalie was to make it onto her blog, so it was real milestone for me. Thanks, Grace!

In other apple news, I'm working hard to get more and more apple boxes ready for this weekend at Renegade. I will have a big shop update on Monday, so check back then! If you're in SF this weekend, do swing by the Renegade show and say hello!

Thanks PoppyTalk!
The lovely Jan at PoppyTalk posted about Miss Natalie's Growth Chart today. We're very excited to be featured on her site, as PoppyTalk is one of my favorite blogs to read while sipping my morning tea. PoppyTalk is a huge supporter of Etsy shops and also has a monthly online fair at PoppyTalk Handmade. Miss Natalie has been a seller before (December market), and is looking forward to future markets at the site. Thanks, again, PoppyTalk!
