Wooden Eggs

We're getting ready for Renegade Craft Fair SF next weekend, so this weekend has been filled with busy studio time. I'm excited about launching a new line of hand painted wooden eggs at next week's show, along with a bunch of new wooden apple boxes. Here are some photos of the process, which is wonderfully meditative for me. I love seeing patterns take shape across a real object (instead of just a computer screen).

Hand painted wooden apple boxes that debuted at the Capsule show. These lovely 4 ladies have been shipped off to my friends at Rare Device, and I'm working on a big new batch to add to the shop soon.

Maker Faire this Weekend

It's total madness in my studio right now as we get ready for the 2-day bonanza that is Maker Faire! We can't wait to set up tomorrow morning at Cypress Hall at the San Mateo Fairgrounds. We'll be there both Saturday and Sunday, from 10am-6pm, as part of the Bazaar Bizarre. Lots of new products launching, plus special booth guests who will provide entertainment, music, and stories. Braille Note Card Sets

Braille note cards, wrapped up nicely in a set of 5. Thanks to our blogger friends for the lovely posts last week on our braille notebooks. All of our braille products are made of 100% reclaimed paper. Note cards are available individually on our shop, or contact me about creating a set for yourself.

Miss Natalie's Growth Chart

After much work, Miss Natalie's Growth Charts are now available online at our Etsy shop! The growth chart comes in a wooden keepsake box measuring 7.25" x 7.25" x 2.75".

The chart contains a 4' long burlap ribbon, mounted on wooden dowels and hung with a red ribbon. With one simple nail, you can hang your chart 1' (or more) above the floor to start your measurements.

Twenty tags are included (ten in red, ten in manila) with space to mark your child's name, age, and date of measurement. Also included are twenty large safety pins in a muslin bag to secure your child's tag on the burlap ribbon. A dollop of glue at the pin head ensures a steadfast bond.

Braille blank cards

New Braille blank note cards have just been added to the shop. Made of 100% reclaimed paper and featuring braille pages from Seventeen and Rolling Stone magazine. Cards measure 4.5" x 6" and come with smooth white paper insert for writing and matching envelope.

Miss Growth Chart sneak peek

Our show this weekend at Babes & Babies went really well! Thanks to all our new friends for stopping by--we had a wonderful time meeting you all. We launched our new product, Miss Natalie's Growth Chart, which sold out very quickly! I'm busy working on creating many more of these kits and will post shortly when they are available. You can see the growth charts on the far right of the above photo, and a detail shot below.

We'll be posting photos soon with more details of the kit in action. I'm really excited about these little treasure chests and had a great time designing and crafting them.
